Landscaping in urban environments

The landscaping includes the planning, design, management, conservation and rehabilitation of open spaces becomes increasingly important in urban environments, where it influences residential development, to the planning of green areas and recreation.

The ability to observe, creativity and technical skills and design are the qualities of the landscape artist.

Many cities in the world have chosen to replace concrete walls with parks and trees, within meeting points of society. Increasingly, the natural elements become protagonists in the cities, given the influence of the landscape on environmental development, quality of life and social relations.

The importance of the parks and gardens in a city, generate an economic impact as well as environmental, giving an active value to the green areas for the communities in which this type of landscaping is found.

The cities needs planning and ordering, using landscaping as a tool.

The incorporation, generation, construction and / or expansion of areas with natural content undoubtedly act beneficially, but if these particularities do not respond to territorial planning it is very likely that the results will be less than the enormous efforts to implement these partial solutions.

This is why landscaping should be part of the management of the city, because with its integrating perspective, it takes care of the natural features, the culture subject to the territory and the social idiosyncrasy, constituent parts of the natural base as the only one that is capable of lifetime.
Magic happens when urbanism, landscaping and architecture work together.

To achieve these effects and feelings in the city, it is necessary to contemplate some aspects such as a certain distance in a public space where citizens can meet, rest and enjoy the place. In addition to the physical benefits of being outdoors and the benefits of the soul, good public spaces help the economy, as they attract groups of people to one place.

Definitely, it is about contributing to the transformation of the landscape in urban centers to enhance its beauty, to accommodate vertical gardens, to encourage harmony between buildings and nature and to favor social relations and the well-being of citizens.

And all this from the conviction that landscaping in general and "urban green" in particular will gain strength in each of the areas in which it affects: the cultural, the scientific, the technical, and from the point of view of design, planning and professional practice.
